The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank (BRAFB) is a vital, local emergency food assistance agency that serves more than 114,000 people each month.

BRI began working with BRAFB in July of 2010, when we outlined a five-year technology plan to get them to a completely functional and supported IT environment, and put them on track to maintain their technology edge in the community and state. BRI was able to deploy the plan ahead of schedule, in three and a half years, and has continued in a support role since then, including upgrading hardware when needed.

The community need for BRAFB has grown, and they are currently renovating their headquarters in Verona, VA. During this transition, BRI has supported the technology requirements, including VPN tunnels for a move to a temporary office in Staunton, as well as assisted with planning of the upgraded network and wiring of their new facilities, which are slated to be completed in August, 2015.
