BRI has worked the Blue Ridge Juvenile Detention Academic Program since 2012. We started by upgrading their network devices and separating their academic and prison networks. We also configured all of the program’s desktops and laptops.
BRI also implemented the Barracuda Web Filter, a comprehensive tool for educational environments that meets the standards of the Children’s Internet Protection Act and qualifies for federal E-rate funding. We configured their initial server and then recently upgraded them to a modern Windows server, which has reduced the occurrence of problems in need of resolution.
